By any chance do any of you guys have before/after pictures of replacing the transoms? I just picked up my very first boat its an 86 Bayliner Capri with 2.1L Volvo Penta. 270 outdrive. I'm in for a HUGEEE project on this, deck was rotted and the transom is rotted i would like to replace the transom before it hits water but don't want to pay a shop the $1500 they were asking to do it.. So any advice on a "do it yourself" transom fix would be nice!
