I have a 1986 cajun fish n ski that has a force 125. The boat runs well except for one thing, I can't trim it up at all when moving. When i'm going really slow I can raise the motor up but when I start moving forward the motor just drops and it makes a high pitch noise that sounds like the hydraulic is just giving in. I have kind of noticed that the shaft that sticks out of the trim lift doesn't come close to touching anything on the motor. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this problem? I'm thinking about cutting a 4x4 post down and attaching it to the back side of the motor so it will be touching the trim pin. I'm certain this boat didn't come with a force motor originally, do you think it's possible someone installed the wrong trim? and do motors usually come with tilt and trim? I'm a complete newbie to the boating scene so please excuse my long and drawn out explaination. Any advice would be a big help to me.
Thank you
Andy

Possibly low on fluid, thats why it does not go up while moving. that noise could be a piston seal on the tilt/trim bad
