ok so the boat is ready except the trim /tilt. the unit works fine. pumps up and retracts but it also bleeds down quickly bothe trim and tilt. as i was putting fluid in the the pump i was running it through a cycle. BAM! the snap ring that holds a valve in (at the base of the valve body facing out approx 1 inch by 7/16 round it goes in even with the lines just behind them) shot out and hit the floor. ok so i put everything back together and it operates exactly the same ... so is it a bad chack valve or what? where are the check valve in these prestolite type valve bodies?... also if there are only check balls and o rings in these why cant i refresh the valve body?
