Just determined my lost spark in 1,3,and 5 is stator related. Since I have to change it anyway, I would like to increase the output enough to charge the trolling motor battery. Are there any companies that make a stator with a higher amp output?

Gee, cylinders 1,3,5 share a switchbox as well as a stator. Have you determined it is the stator that is bad?

Do this simple test before condemning your stator- swap the leads from one switchbox to the other- if the problem moves, you have a bad stator, if the same bank still has no spark, your switchbox is toast If you have a bad stator, you are stuck with a 9 amp replacement, either from Merc or from CDI. If you have to replace a switchbox, replace them both. Pairing a new switchbox with an old one will sometimes fry the bias circuit on the new switchbox.

Thanks for the advice. I have already swapped switch boxes and reran test. 1,3,and 5 still dead. Swapped stator leads, waiting for above freezing weather to rerun test. Although resistance checks on stator leads all pass, I expect cylinders 2,4 and 6 to go down when I rerun test.
