'86 omc rebuild

does anyone know about how much it costs to have a mechanic rebuild a '86 omc outdrive on a chevy 350? I'm mechanically inclined but don't have much experience on outdrives, would it be worth the effort to do it myself? If so does anyone know how much a rebuild kit would be for it?<br /><br />Thanks

You can makeshift tools for the lower. the upper is a whole nother ballgame
