Just got my Michigan Wheel Vortex prop in today and after getting it put on I noticed that there was a gear case seal for it. I'm guessing that what it is ,it's a small plastic piece that goes around the end of the prop that sits against the gear housing. This prop is really made for a 88' model Force 125 dual exhust. Mine is single exhust but was told by many on this fourm that it was ok to us. My question is do I need to but the gear case ring on or just leave it off. If I put it on prop doesn't seem to fit against the thrust washer all the way and if it's off fits fine but there is a small gap maybe 1/8 in from were my old prop would fit and the new one. I removed the zinc anode as I was told to to get it to fit. Boat has never been in salt water nor ever will as long as I own it.
