I was out on Saturday for the first time of the season (was injured and already getting a late start to the season) When my 1986 force 125 lost spark after stopping for lunch at a local marina. I came out after about a hour and a half and had a dead battery (new replaced this winter) so i got out the jump pack and found i have no spark. I have disabled the kill switch and been out since so i dont believe thats the issue. now as im diagnosing it with a new battery, that i picked up today. the starter is turning slow and getting hot. i have sanded and cleaned the battery cables. i put a battery selector switch on this winter but only have one battery connected so i could turn the power off when not in use. in my diagnosing i disconnected that since it was my first time out this season with it installed. If anyone could give some advise on what to check next i would really appreciate it. i also have a 92 70hp force that i pulled ff the boat that i might be able to rob parts off of.
