Do you have a volt meter? if not, you can get cheap ones, and they are INVALUABLE.

I had a similar problem with my '90 capri. Most likely its a blown fuse somewhere, probably on the main feed to the dash. Look for a fuse somewhere near the battery first. That line should feed a fuse block elsewhere in the boat, and if the line feeding it has a blown fuse, that will cause all the electronics to not work. Also check to make sure the ground wire is still connected, and connected to the negative side of the battery.

Im not certain where your fuse block is, but mine was under my helm. If you have a voltmeter find a good ground and start poking around. If its anything like mine, it'll have a feed coming in from the battery probably a bigger red wire, and a black negative wire. Check to see if there is voltage on the red line coming in.

After that, start checking individual fuses. Chances are though, the 12v line feeding the fuse block is fused somewhere, and that fuse has blown. That would cause a total failure of electronics like was the case in my boat. I had a 30A fuse blown right inside the battery box that was blown, that fed power to everything. Once I replaced that, everything worked. Horn, fish finder, dash lights, etc.
