I have an 87 Chris Craft 196 LTD BR......the vinyl graphics are getting pretty "chewed up" and I'm contemplating just removing them and either replacing them with vinyl stripes (but no idea where to get something like that) or removing them and then having some striping painted on......suggestions?

Also, the teak trip and ski locker cover are VERY dry and starting to crack. Should I sand these before I oil/seal them? If so, how fine of a grit should I go down to? I thought I would screw them onto a piece of plywood to do it. Would that work?

Lastly, the black paint around the edge of the Chris Craft logo's is really flaking off........what kind of paint should I use to redo it?

Thanks a ton!

Chris

As far as the teak goes, I would start with 100 grit and go finer or courser, depending on the results. You could probably just hold the pieces and use a orbital sander. That way it would be easier to get all four sides.
