so i bought the boat for 400 with the trailer did not take a good look at the motor when i bought it 
just recently pulled the motor found out the guy threw a rod and broke the crankshaft so my buddys good friend is a marina mechanic hes got a motor for 650 but he forwarned me about the omc i/o with they are crap ad i will keep dumping money into it any thoughts what i should do, have no idea if the i/o works properly or not since the motor wouldnt start its a sharp looking boat but should i just start over and sell it or work on it, this is my first boat i have ever had so any help would be great!!
