I have an '87 force 125 that was worked on before me. I am trying to route the fuel lines. The mechanic before me put on an electric fuel pump that goes straight from the tank to the lower carb. I am trying to connect the mechanical one back up. Is there anyone that can describe in detail or perhaps take a couple pictures of how the fuel line(s) routing goes from the tank to the mechanical fuel pump and carbs? Thanks for any help.

I will look at mine if I remember later, but there has to be a reason he is bypassing the original pump?
There are two hookups on the pump and the line should come from the tank to the one on the right side of the pump or front side (mine I think says "FILTER" on that part) and then the left side or back one goes out to the carbs and you should install a fuel filter between that one and the carbs.

I have some history with the boat and motor and I know who worked on it previously...it is not currently running...
Yes, there is the intake on the pump for fuel inbound but there are two other nipples on the left or rear of the pump. Plus another nipple just below and forward of the pump. I have been unable to find a readable, clear diagram or picture on any manual or site anywhere that shows the exact way it's hooked up so I appreciate your reply and any help.

The model # off the engine would be helpful. Mine is an 86, but I would guess there are some differences.

The pic I added is from an 87 and mine looks exactly the same. You must be referring to #20 & 27 in the pic. I will double check when I get home where they hook up to. I literally just had mine apart a few days ago.

Trying to do this from my phone is a pain but I drew the red line on #20 from the parts diagram and the green line on #27. Let me know if you need anything more close up.

Yes, very good, thank you. The line with the filter must go to the bottom of the bottom carb which feeds the top carb. Thanks for your help.

The 86/87 should have the same fuel system.
About the only change is the color and style of the covers.
