'87 Force 50HP. This on a 14" bayliner bass striker.

When winterizing this past winter, I noticed the oil in the lower was milky. So for starters, I'd like to change out the impeller, and any seals on the lower that are economically viable, that would potentially cause a leaky lower. Is there a good place to get the parts at a decent price?

I'd also like to change out the impeller at the same time.

Okay... the problem.
At WOT, the boat struggles to get on plane. It will eventually go on plane very slowly building up speed, and if one of us (2 on the boat) sits up in the very front and/or if we change the angle the motor is aimed at. Once on plane, the boat cruises fine, but it will randomly cut out and drop to idle and we will have to drop the throttle back down and throttle up again. its really annoying, and gets water almost swamping us from behind.

i have basic hand / power tooks, the force manual, and no way to compression test.

it also has spark and new points.

Parts are online on ebay or a number of online marine parts stores. google is your friend, use it. It will find you many parts stores.

And it sounds like a fuel issue. When you feel it starting to drop, pump the fuel bulb until it gets hard and see if that fixes it.
