1987 mercruiser 470 180 hp with quadrajet carb. Does anyone know the float setting, i think the fuel level is to high. Starts and runs perfect on the muffs, take it to the boat ramp and is hard to start once started runs perfect if you shut it off for a couple of minutes and restart its hard to start. I am pretty sure the fuel level is to high i rebuilt the carb and set the float at 7/32 is this to low? The motor has had a complete tuneup 2 months ago also has new fuel pump, fuel filters and a new gas tank. Thanks for any advice.
