87 Stratos wiring question

I just bought a 1987 stratos 269V and whoever owned it before me butchered the wiring throughout the boat. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to get a wiring diagram for this boat?

The answer is always the same -- the factory. But you are actually looking for two diagrams. One for the engine and one for the hull. There may even be a third (the instrument panel) since these are generally outsourced. There is a generic instrument panel schematic in the FAQ section. For livewells, and other stuff you are on your own but that stuff is easy to troubleshoot. 12V to the switch, then to the live well pump. The outboard wire harness and engine wiring are in the service manual for the engine.

Thank You silvertip for helpful info. I got my boat fixed this afternoon with a little bit of thought I finally found the wires with the problems.
