i just got my first boat its a 88 bayliner cubby with a 125 force, it sat all winter and it was winterized, i started it up with the muffs on it and it ran for a while on warm up, how much water is it suppost to spit out? the head was cool and it only spits water out. and it seems like it is loaded up becouse it bogs down when i try to get high rev out of it
thanks:confused:

Re: 88 125force

You will get a dribble out of the two rear holes, and most out the lower trim piece snout.
DO not rev it up out of water out of gear..too easy to get a "runaway" motor..stick it in the water

Re: 88 125force

Get some new NGK BUHX plugs. Toss the old in the can.
Stick it in the water and nail it....then a problem, we can move on...
If you are only using fast idle (throttle pulled out)...it will sound like crap...just get it on the water. The two holes out the back will now spit solid water/air stream straight back. If not, Impeller is shot...
Again..in the water!
