88' 15hp johnson stalling out when giving gas

I bought this motor a year ago totally rebuilt and has worked great until now. It starts and idles fine but when I try to give it more throttle, it stalls out. If I pump the gas ball at that point it will make it through and then it runs fine after that and full throttle is fine. Seem like it needs more fuel at the low- mid range. Will adjusting the knob on the front by the pull cord help this? I have a manual for the motor. I appreciate any help. Thanks!

Adjusting the idle mix screw may help.If its adjusted too lean it might stumble when you try to accellerate.Also when pumping the primer helps sometimes indicates a weak fuel pump.
