My dad is having problems with his '88 J30ECCE. It starts quick and idles great but it stalls/bogs down just past 1/2 throttle. Compression on both cylinders are great and within 5%. New carb. kit installed. Plugs good, gas new. Any ideas? Thanks.
will it run with the cover off?somtimes (it did on mine 35hp)the exaust manifold gasket leaks causing carbond. in the cover and the engine cant get fresh air.
The boat is in another city so I'll have to relay everything and there will be a delay on the results. I believe the same results are being seen with the cover off. Thanks.
