Hey guys you have all been a great help! I want to thank you all for helping me with my Frankenstein boat. Yes again I am having another problem. When I put the trim all the way up it comes down by itself very very slowly Out of water. This is my first time noticing it and dont know if it happens in the water but I don't know if it's a big deal or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated again. I hope this is not an expensive fix.

valve body bleed down. it won't break all of a sudden. It will just get a little faster and faster over the next two seasons until you don't have enough time to put in trailering bar. My best advice is live with until winter and get VB rebuilt during off season.

Is this hard to do ?

it varies. if you don't take off gear plate and use briggs carb kit then it usually isn't so bad. If you take off the gear plate then it can quickly turn into a diy mess.

Wonderful. Ill probably just take it somewhere then. My luck with this thing hasn't been good when it comes down to fixin things myself unless there's a step by step manual.
Even better now if I'm in idle and trim up or down the engine dies. Ugh

The hardest part is getting out the valves I used compressed air. A lot of it lol then its as simple as pitting orings in and putting it back together.

Do a search on here for force 50hp trim pump rebuild and you will find one guy has great pics and part # you can use.

Would I see fluid leaking from somewhere? It's dry as a bone....

external leaks and bleed down are almost always unrelated. External leaks are a concern because they also let water in.

trim fluid just goes in a big circle. when the fluid is pumped above the piston then the system goes down. when the fluid is pumped below the piston then the system goes up. if the pump is leaky across the middle then gravity will slowly pull the engine down.

Well I've been told by a bunch and read a few post and they've said with the motor slowly dropping the way it is to add some trim fluid and it should help or fix. Said open fill nut with trim up and get as much as you can in it then raise and lower a few times. I did so and it did slow THe drop down but is still doing it. Now the manual says not to over fill. But just to the bottom of the fill nut. Should I just take nut out and let it drain to the correct level?
