My outboard had a vro 2 pump that was not working on the fuel side so I replaced it with a 438559 pump but developed a leak in one of the mounting holes. I tool a bolt through one mounting hole to the plastic air intake housing where the old pump was. Where are you guys mounting these pulse pumps I know I will have to make a bracket just dont want to run into trouble again when I'm out fluking. ordered another 438559 and should be here tomorrow. Thanks for any input

If you look on the port side of the intake manifold you will see the spot to mount the pump !----2 screw holes ( 10-24 NC ) with a plug in between.-----If you have a pump with 2 ports and the pulse port in the back you mount it there.-----Remove the plug and mount the pump with a gasket.----Simple as simple can be !

thanks for the help. The pump I ordered has 3 ports. would I be able to cap the pulse port of the pump and use it that way? Also will the plug I remove fit in the spot where the pulse hose barb is now?

Thanks!

If you'd like you can connect the (3rd) pulse port on the new pump to the end of the pulse hose for the old VRO. Same difference.
