'88 Evinrude model difference.

I recently added a 16.5 ft. High Tide with '88 70hp Evinrude to my fleet. Grandkids don't get excited tubing behind a 24' pontoon with a 35hp Merc and my wife and I want to hit different lakes to fish.

My question is, what is the difference between an E70ELCCA and E70TLCCA engine. Why is my engine The blue gray color including the engine cover instead of the usual Evinrude color. What is the difference between Commercial and Pleasure. I'll try to attach a pic. I haven't been on this forum in years.

The T has Tilt and Trim and your motor looks to be repainted.

Thanks. I does have tilt and trim. If repainted, someone really good did it.

The----T ----Might refer to tiller operation.------Or power trim / tilt.-----And a 3 cylinder " commercial " motor generally come without oil injection or power trim and tilt.----Also some came as manual start.-----And commercial motors are identical to pleasure motors as far as internal parts.

Coming soon. The boat's at my summer place in the Adirondacks. I'm heading there after I baby sit my Grand Daughter Monday. Somebodies got to feed the Black Flies. They're nasty this time of year. Gonna be in the 90s.
