recently bought an older boat with an 88 Force 50 hp. I am rebuilding the water pump and found the "water pump disc" just below the seal at the top of the water pump housing is not in tact. The disc is not available from parts places I've found on line except included in a replacement pump housing ($200 +). It appears to be simply a nylon washer, but I am not sure. It would be easy to get a nylon washer and fit it to the shaft and housing, but need to know if that is actually what it is. I cannot tell form the piece from my housing. Anyone have any idea?
