88 Galaxy

Hi,<br />I just bought an 88’ Galaxy 16ft boat with 88 4cyl 3.0L Merc engine. I am new to boating and would appreciate any advise on this boat/engine combo. It looks like the rear of the boat is sitting a little lower then it supposed to. I looked at the water line of other boats and it seems to me that this Galaxy is about an inch below others water line. Is this normal? <br /><br />Thank you,<br />Lenny

Comparing how you sit in the water would only be meaningful if the other boat were the same make, power and load. If you have a good comparison and yours its a lot lower might want to check for water under the floor which would give you added weight.
