88 mercury 35 HP

Last fall while running my 88 merc. 35 Hp motor it lost all power. barely idled while still at full throttle ( dont know how it stayed running ) I turned the boat back towards the ramp . It ran this way for about 10 minutes then slowly began to get back up to speed , It ran weell again for several minutes then it did the same thing and died I havent got it to start since. Any help? Thank you

Have you cked for spark, it really sound like a dirty carb or fuel pump but the place to start is to ck for spark
