88 omc 5.7 no spark

i have a omc with a mercruiser tunderbolt dizzy and my last post was about my motor was backfireing and today when i went to go start it up i have no spark at all and no spark at the coil..... when my motor was back fireing i think i flooded my motor so i removed the pugs turn off the batt switch and cleaned the boat did not move anything or cut any wires......

never mind i think i got it i was reading a mercruiser post about the problem i am having and i seen this ... so where it says remove wht/red wire and see if you have 12 volts from module, well i do not have +12 volts..... was looking at some new and used and they are alot of money lol good thing i did not trash my points dizzy. looks like i am going back to points oh well...... i have one ? tho does points work just as well as the thunderbolt???
