I have a 87 88spl that this weekend when coming off plan, slowing down to idle what I think is the over heating alarm started going off. Turn the engine off, waited a minute, turn it back on a few minutes later started going off again, if I idle above 1000rpms it would stop going off. Did the same thing got back to the dock, went home put it on the muffs no issues. The motor was not hot at all, the pee-hole had great water coming out. I did notice that there was a buzzing out of the control before the alarm went off. I have a manual, and read other treads about checking this and that, were should I began? Treshdaddy please help. Can someone post a picture of where the tan wires that goto the overheating sensor. Do I have 2 sensors because of the v4? Do I have a engine that also has a alarm for the fuel? I don't have the VRO, I mix the gas with oil 50:1. thanks for the help.
