Hi all,
I'm trying to replace the impeller on an '88 Suzuki DT75. I can get the lower unit separated about an inch and a half to two inches. It will not come completely off.
My questions:
1) I've taken off all the bolts, 9 in all I believe (except the one holding on the trim tab--shouldn't matter). I have taken off the long bolt furthest stern. The lower unit dropped an inch and a half to two inches but will now not come off any further. Do I need to disconnect a shift linkage of a sort or just use more elbow grease? (I read a post about disconnecting the F-R-N linkage on an '86, did my manual just leave out this little detail?)
2) Will the drive shaft come out as well? Could the drive shaft be corroded up top the the crankshaft?
Thanks all for your help, it's much appreciated.
