In an ebay search for a prop for this enigne, what is the terminology to describe the hub; i.e., I see some that say fifteen tooth spline, others with different descriptions, so to be sure I get a prop that will mount on the shaft, what term(s) do I look for? Here's an example: "Mercury/Quicksilver 10 7/8" X 11 Pitch, 13 spline, aluminum boat propeller." I'm OK with the diameter and ptich -- what about that "13 spline" Is that what my mercury has??

Thanks much!

It should be a 13 spline, thats what my 1992 40 hp Mercury has. But just to be safe why not just count the splines on the propeller shaft? The 15 spline is usually on the larger outboards or those with a Bigfoot lower unit.
