Have a 1989 Sea Ray 18 with a 88-89 Sea Ray engine. It's a Sea Ray converted Merc 135 V6.

Does anyone know of a Service Bulletin that addresses the problem of these motors running hot?

My understanding is that Sea Ray converted these engines with a plate between the powerhead and motor leg to accept the 1 piece cowling. The plate does not have the proper holes to allow cooling to the powerhead. Scratching my head in Titusville Fl. Need to get back to the water!!!!
