My boat has been sitting 2 months due to injury.....but out of shop in June with new impeller and starter solenoid. Ran wonderful the 5 or 6 times had in water. Started today and ran for 5 mins maximum but noticed water just trickeling out of pee hole. Is there a thermostat that maybe hasn't opened? Did not want to run too long with no strong water stream. Thanks for any advice

The thermostat has no bearing on the pee stream of this engine. Check for an obstruction at the pee nozzle. Were you running it in the water or on muffs? I don't think you'll get as much pressure on muffs. Also it could be the mechanic screwed up and did not get the water tube properly in place.

The hose inside the cowling slips onto the nozzle and holds it there. Pull the hose off, remove the nozzle. Use a compressor to blow air backwards through the nozzle. If you don't have a compressor use a piece of wire to clear any blockage.

The guys are right on this one. I had the same problem on my '77 merc 85hp. I lifted the cowl off (In the lake note u) and removed the hose that connected to the weep hole and blew in it. I got no air, so I found a wire and pushed it through the weephole a few times and voila, I had a peeing mercury again! I think mud-dobbers like those for making nest or something.
