howdy all im new to the forum. i just recently got an 89 bayliner cobra w a 125 hp force, the boat has sat for 8 years in storage with a cover over it and all liquids drained. i got it first thing i did was take off both carbs and clean them the gaskets looked worn but wanted to make sure the engine ran before i invested my money to fix it and make it run good and also cleaned off all four plugs and made sure they were firing. after that i put 6 gallons of gas with some sea foam and of course the 2 cycle took it to the lake put the motor in the water and it fired right up on the third crank and ran until i killed it. next day took it on the water and ran it but not to hard just to get that sea foam in the system and clean stuff out well the 6 gallons went thru the tank real fast ran out and had to get towed to my dock. put 6 more gallons in and now in the water behind the motor is the rainbow color from leaking gas. theres a steady trail that follows me when im slowly cruising in a no wake and big time in reverse. put the trim all the way up and the plastic pieces in front of ther carbs are filled with gas any ideas will help. new carbs? or just new gaskets? also white/grey smoke at idle with a normal 50:1 ratio.
thanks
