89-150Johnson temp.gauge sender

I got a temperature gauge for a J150STLCEM.I thought a sender came with it,but no.Is there a sender wire on the motor or will I have to get one? Thanks.

You'll need to purchase a sending unit which will attach to one of the head bolts. It consists of a "L" bracket and the actual sending unit that screws into that bracket.
