I'm planning to remove the VRO system on my 89' 200. Based on what I've read everywhere it's pretty much as simple as removing and sealing the oil line and removing the wire that connects from the tank.

Any other things need to be done to properly remove the VRO?

I'll check that out. I only removed the wire that went to the tank. So there should be more?

Yes on the oil side of the pump will be a harness follow that to the plug and disconnect it.

I am having a hard time to locate this exatly. Would you happen to know of a diagram or other drawing/picture that would help on that?

One side of the pump is bigger than the other that is the fuel side. The smaller side of the pump is the oil side there will be a harness coming out of that side. Otherwise put a pic up.

The plug in that picture appears to be for the power trim / tilt.---------Easy to test that.-------Look for another connecter.
