'89 Bayliner Dash removal...question

I have an '89 19ft Bayliner Capri model 400 i think. I am in the midst of removing the floor but am not sure exactly how to go about removing the dash/console to replace the floor underneath it. Its all covered in fiberglass and the wood is fine therefore i see no reason to junk it. How can it be removed without damage so that it can be put back in?? any other hints for this job would also be helpful. thanks

you have to remove the rub rail rubber , remove screws or rivets under it, then separate the top cap from the hull. the top cap is one piece.

so you remove the dash or upper part of the console, leaving the wooden/ fiberglass piece attached? I have viewed some pics from the bayliner owners club website, and it seems that some people have done the opposite; remove the lower wooden portion and left the top half connected...
