Just replaced my lower shift cable but still have shifting issues.Seems like adjustment problem,When I adjust for forward reverse sometimes won't engage And visa,versa,Could a bad shift interupter switch cause this.When idling in neutral if I activate the switch there is no change in the motor(Kinda figure it should stumble)I did replace the points with a pertronix and did add the shift assist module(Got the schematic for this off this site,OMC shift assist fix)It is Especially hard to shift from forward to neutral.Having no rev is a real pain.
