89 Evinrude 150xp throttle setup

Hello. Can someone tell me the dummy version for how to set up the throttle system on my 150xp? Let’s assume that the cable from the controls is disconnected and I have to start from scratch. I have the manual but it assumes you have some outboard experience of which I have very little. Although I pulled the flywheel yesterday, replaced the stator and timer and put it all back together. And it runs! The throttle system is so out of wack now due to all the troubleshooting that was done before the bad stator/timer diagnosis. If someone could tell me the step by procedure for setting this up or direct me to somewhere I could find it, other than the manual, I would very much appreciate it.

Are you using a factory manual? Or a seloc or off brand...if off brand use it as a fire starter and get a factory manual.

I dont know how to state the link and synch steps any more clearly that the manual...

Can you come up with more specificity in your questions? What step are you getting hung up on? Maybe post the manuals directions you are stuck on and your thoughts and then we can guide you that way.

Pictures also may help if you are having trouble identifying certain parts.
