Just rebuilt carb & installed new reeds. The idle mixture screw (one either carb) doesn't make a difference on how the motor runs. Checked the floats, they are not flooding. Any suggestions?

Did you re-use the old gaskets? You might have an air leak.

If the idle mixture screws are not showing any effect, you either have a vacuum leak or the throttle valves are not adjusted properly. Sometimes you can find a vacuum leak by spraying WD40 on the suspected area and looking for increasing RPM.

We bought new gaskets, we will check the throttle. Took it to the lake yesterday, ran OK, but couldn't get it above 15 mph. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
