I can not get it to run. Iv replaces stator trigger both coils and cd box and ignition switch. It’s getting gas and I have spark on both cylinders I believe I have a wiring problem. I have wired it up with my service manual. Except for the kill switch witch I took out because it was stuck. When I got the boat it ran on the bottom cylinder only. Now that iv replaces the Obote components I get nothing but backfires. Please help!

what did you do with the wires from the kill switch?

I have it open as if the kill switch was open. I new it was a normally open switch. On the ignition switch one black and yellow wire went from terminal m to the kill and then back to the other m terminal.

Remove flywheel and inspect for a sheared key.
It will shear easily if the flywheel was not torqued to prosper spec after you replaced the stator.

Sheared key will throw off the timing, which causes backfires.
