My Johnson 200 hp outboard has 90 psi across the board on compression.
Is this ok? I have read it should be 95 to 105. My guage is reading correctly as I have checked the compression with three different guages with the same results. Would this motor be reliable enough to take offshore 10 to 15 miles?

OMC never published any given number. A lot has to do with which heads you have and even which gaskets you have. If it's all 90 I don't think you'll have any issues. If you're concerned do a good decarb job. Just make sure it's propped out as close to 6000 as you can get with an average load, use fresh 87 octane (ethanol free if possible) and Champion plugs.
