I noticed while flushing out my 60hp mariner after a day on the water that the tell tale is dry. I didn't notice that it was or wasn't running while out on the water but she ran great. I flushed it out a week earlier and it was pumping fine. Should I let it run longer than the 3 min. i just did before getting scared and turning it off? I had the water pump service with a new impeller about 6 hours ago. I have never had a problem. How do I drop out the lower unit to check the impeller? Is it easy? Could the clog be further up the motor? I am trying not to take it in to the dealer where it will sit for three weeks.<br />Thanks

Get a manual, check the tubes for blockage, use a stiff wire and run it up the tube. check the T stats for operation.and yes I would replace the pump impeller its easy with a manual
