89 Mercruiser 3.0 stalls at 2000rpm

Hey I’m new to forums but I was trying to find something on my 89 mercruiser alpha one, it stalls at 2000rpm when the engine is warm it will idle and drive up to 2k but then acts like it’s loosing fuel, but if I quickly push it past 2k it will run and drive fine above 2500rpm

How long has it been doing this?

Most likely the carb needs rebuilt, the accelerator pump may not be working correctly.
