Bought my first boat last year. It's an 89 SeaRay 200 with 4.3l motor with a 4bbl carb. Ran great all last year...had my friend who's a long time boater fog the motor for me this last winter. Now, I go to get her ready for the season and it starts up fine, but won't idel. If I gether her up to 2k rpms and slowly back the throttle down, she cuts out. after letting it warm up to temp for 15-20 mins. the rpms slowly drop to like 1000. But if I try to bring it back to neutral to let it idle it dies right out. Gonna check around for a fuel filter tomorrow(Sunday) and hope I can find one. Also gonna pull a plug. Does it sound like water in fuel? Throttle is also very responsive, when I push her forward the motor jumps right up.
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks
