89 OMC 5.8 Raw water leak

Started my 89 OMC Cobra 5.8L on the trailer yesterday, and checked the engine compartment like I always do the first start of every year. WATER EVERYWHERE! I had just put on a new impeller. Could a hose somewhere have blown off? Couldn't tell where the water was coming from, but there was a lot of it.

Start it up again with the muffs on, this time look and see where the water is coming from. There are MANY possibilities, and the only way to find the problem is to LOOK.<br /><br />

checked the engine compartment like I always do the first start of every year.

Does that mean you only check it once a year?????
