I have had an intermittent problem with an 89 DT175 not accelerating beyond 2200 RPM. After much research and many calls to Suzuki mechanics, I think the problem may be tied to a broken neutral switch mounted on the bottom carburetor and "actuated" by an arm when shifted in/out of gear. From all I can find in parts catalogs this switch appears to only be used in 89-90 models yet nobody can tell me for sure or if it can be "bypassed" or eliminated. Also I can't find one with the correct bracket. I did find on Ebay a switch with bracket for a 90 HP and it was the same part number. What I didn't realize was the bracket wasn't the same and well it broke first time I cycled out of neutral. I don't have the original bracket and hence the need for the correct bracket for the DT175.
