I have a 8hp merc that accidently got dropped in the lake for about 5 seconds. It fired up but died for the rest of the weekend. Two weeks later after after drying it out (plugs out) it won't even fire up. Any suggestions???<br /><br />Brian
Start with the "Outboard wont start" article in the Engine FAQ section, Brian.<br /><br />That will get you started. If needed come back here with what you found.<br /><br />Good luck.
