8hp Yamaha tiller to helm conversion

Got a nice 2 cycle tiller 8hp Yamaha kicker. Would love to convert to helm control. Or maybe remote control.Problem is not a lot of money to spend. Thinking of doing the linkage between the big I/O. But is there a way to set it up to remote steering that wont break the bank?

There are many ways to connect the two motors, even as low cost as a couple of bungee cords, but a linkage system can be had for about $45.
A remote throttle setup can cost a good deal if you can't find used parts on eBay or someplace else.
