My beloved 9.5 needs 1) the center mount/bracket (which broken causes excessive vibration) and 2) a replacement prop (I didn't do it). I don't want to give up on this engine (my first), but don't want to spend too much.

I'm told the mounts are no longer available through dealers. Any advice?

thanks,

Thanks for the leads. I found that prop source last night, but am wondering about used props. If I can get the mount replaced, I won't mind the price of a new prop as much. The motor itself is otherwise in very good condition.

What is the broken part made of? Get aquainted with the local technical school welding instructor and challenge one of his best students to make a good and sound repair. If it is done to your liking, a couple of pizzas for the group would be good compensation, since the part is NLA.

I'm not sure what it's made of. I can check back with my repair guy at the lake, but from searching the forum before asking the question, I gather that part of it at least is "rubber" or something like it. Push come to shove, copying the part would be something to look into. I'm hoping there's a supply available somewhere taken from motors that have been retired.
