9.6 hp. wards sea king o/b

hi i just recently purchased a 9.6 hp sea king and i was wondering if anyone can tell me the year of the motor .. the man i bought it off said 1974, here is the model # VWB27009a 07x<br />and the serial # 10724.<br /><br />and also it started and ran fine when i picked it up, but then i hooked it up to a new tank and hose set up i had at my house and i could build the pressure up in the bulb in the hose to get it started... any suggestions? i used 50:1 oil ratio with pensoil 2 stroke.

For the year Here is a web site that will tell you. Says it is a 1970 2 Cyl Made by Chrysler. But thats all I can help with. Learning myself. Found this from another posting. Best of luck.
