9.8 merc dies at high speed

I have a 9.8 merc 1977 model, that dies at high speed , but will restart immediatly after. I changed the rubber hose from the tank and cleaned the filter. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried squeezing the primer bulb when running to see if it is the fuel pump.<br />Other things, debris in the needle and seat,<br />bad switch box, broken trigger wire.<br /><br /><br />------------------<br />...have fun...corm<br /><br />cubic inches = power<br />power = speed<br />speed = FUN<br /><br />Email me if you need to.

Replace the plugs, start it and run it to temp. Adjust idle after she's warm.
