9.9 force

I just bought a force 9.9 motor. The guy i bought it from painted it for duck hunting. He dosent know what year it is. <br /><br />the only numbers i can read are 92F8B and 1022. Which is the one i would use to find the year. <br />Thanks for any help.

I would bet that its a 1988 vintage.. The 8 next to the F is the key.
