My 1987 9.9 mercury serial # OB165138 with gear shift on the tiller handle was running two days ago. I had a little trouble starting it Friday morning. It ran until I shut it off (about 1 Mile) and would not start again. I have determined that neither plug is firing. new plugs did not help. I find it hard to believe that both coils went bad at the same time. Any suggestions?
